Saturday & Sunday in the Park

IMG_5759.JPG

For 2021 we will be hosting 50+ stallholders on BOTH DAYS of the Melksham Food and River Festival so whichever day of the weekend you visit you'll have plenty of opportunity to browse the stalls and sample a great selection of food and drink from some local producers.

Among the many attractions returning to the Festival this year will be the fairground stalls and rides, the popular zip-wire across the River together with the Climbing Wall.

Special attractions include the opportunity for you to take part in demonstrations of rock n’ roll and belly dancing.

The Festival Bar run by Box Steam Brewery will be open throughout the Festival, and there will be plenty of space to enjoy a picnic whilst sampling the range of food and drink products on offer.

Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team (WOLT) return this year with their 8.5m high Climbing Wall, which proved very popular at our last Festival. The wall can accommodate four climbers simultaneously, under the watchful eye of a qualified and experienced instructor.  Guaranteed fun for adults and children over the age of six.

"The Cooper Tires Wire Challenge" rigged by WOLT is a Traverse Wire across the River Avon, along the far bank and back across the river to the Park.  A challenge for adults and children over the age of eight.

Please Note: there is a charge for these activities to cover the cost of setting up and operation

The Leekes Country Kitchen Marquee will host exciting food and cookery demonstrations on both days.

The Children's Fairground along with our brilliant Face Painter will provide plenty of enjoyment for our younger visitors.
