Weekend Activities on the River

Friday 1st September

​

On Friday 1st September only, you can charter The Mary Archard boat for a private river trip. The boat will take up to 8 passengers and has wheelchair access. See Boat Trips page for details of how to book this unique experience.

Saturday 2nd September

​

Boat trips on the River with the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust. 
You can take a leisurely trip along the Avon in one of the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust’s two boats "Damselfly" & "The Mary Archard". The Mary Archard has wheelchair access.

Wiltshire Youth Canoe Club will put on three displays covering the various aspects of the Clubs programme.

 

Paddleboarding Taster sessions will be run during the day for those who want to try the sport for the first time.

 

New this year: A paddleboard challenge will be run to find the fastest male and fastest female SUP competitor. Keep watching the On the River page for more details.

Sunday 4th September

​

Wiltshire Search and Rescue (WilSAR) will put on two displays demonstrating their rescue techniques.
WilSAR will have a gazebo in the park both days, for visitors to find out more about this wonderful charity.
